Who we are
Flying is an endless journey.
Expedition flight started with a love of flying, sharing that feeling, and our desire to grow our fleet and business in a thriving environment. Our founder James is a life-long learner and enjoys enabling others to pursue their own aviation goals. James has worked hard to become a Commercial Pilot, a Certified Flight Instructor, and Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor. He is currently working on his Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) rating, and multi-engine and tailwheel credentials in order to expand the instruction he is able to give.
Jess helps James with all aspects of maintenance of their aircraft, and is a mechanically inclined person. She helps James organize everything about their aviation journey, and is also a Student Pilot under James’ instruction.
Both James and Jess are professional Product and Project managers and are organized and professional in demeanor. We bring that to your instruction and training plans.

Founded in 2021, we began by offering instruction in our beloved 1967 Cherokee 180 to Private and Commercial students. Our goal is expanding the aircraft selection and funding the expansion of the fleet to other training aircraft suitable to all levels of flying skill, and continuing our own education by pursuing further ratings.
We enjoy volunteering for various flying events and charities, such as the EAA Young Eagles and Challenge Air, organizations that enable young people to experience flight. We hope to encourage a new generation of aviators. In fact, our own children are also students of ours.
We even fly with our dogs! Griffon the Australian Shephard and Vesta the Border Collie are our wild flying dogs. Feel free to request a special dog friendly flight.
